Welcome to the  Kamo Home & Village Charitable Trust website

Kamo Home & Village Charitable Trust ("KHVCT") provides our community with a range of facilities and services to meet individual and personal needs.

Our facilities

Kamo Home and village at the end of Ford Avenue in Kamo, is set on a gentle north facing slope overlooking native bush and Mount Parakiore. The extensive grounds and gardens offer an attractive environment to enjoy the outdoors. The Kamo shopping centre is only minutes away and offers accessible amenities such as a medical centre, supermarket, library, churches and bus stop. The care facility specialises in Hospital level and Dementia care (Alice Court) as well as supported (Tuatara Court) and independent living units.

Mountain View Rest Home is a homely 19 bed Rest Home set in the small rural village of Maungatapere with an outlook of the surrounding countryside and the mountain Maunga Tapere. Mountain View is only 8 minutes from Northland Base Hospital and 10 minutes from central Whangarei. The village has a cafe, church, school and other community facilities.

Parahaki Court is a 25 bed Rest Home facility located in the central Regent area of Whangarei and within easy distance to many amenities such as parks, cafes, shops and church.


KHVCT are not able to provide assisted dying services.
