Anyone who is 55 years or over and in good health can purchase and reside in one of our village units. We consider good health to mean that any health issues that you have can be well maintained by your own personal doctor.
Kamo Retirement Village offers one and two bedroom units which are fully equipped for you to enjoy a care free, independent lifestyle. Residents are expected to bring their own furniture.
Residents in these units live independantly. However, the beauty of retirement village life is that if you are feeling under the weather or just want some extra help with house work and meals, you are able to purchase these additional services with ease. A village care support person is also available one day per week to provide health checks and support if required.
You will need to purchase an Occupational Right Agreement (ORA) for your unit which varies in price depending on the current housing market. There are financial implications to purchasing an ORA all of which will need to be fully explained prior to purchase, and you will need to talk to a lawyer before making a decision. You will also need to pay a weekly service fee of $110 per week which covers your contribution to the upkeep of the village. Extra services are provided on a fee - for - service basis.
Make an appointment to come and see us. We can then show you around and provide you and your family with any additional information that you and your family require to make the important decision on whether Kamo Home and Village is right for you.
